Skinning Stags

Hi, I hope you dont mind me asking, but I want to get to a place which had a lot of stags to kill and skin. Ive spent almost a day trying to find this place again, I just cant remember where it is..

I was on my way to a quest at the top of a hill or somthing and the track leading up to it was littered with stags that gave nice med leather, there was loads of them!

I'm training skinning and need med leather, I cant afford to buy any, plus I want to raise my skinning skill.

Ive looked on skinning sites, but I cant find the place I was after, it was sandy coloured, dry and barren I think. They were about lvl 20-22 I think, I can cope with them.

Any well traveled WOW explorers recognize where im talking about?

1. It helps us to at least know what faction you are. Cuts out about half the map. Stags are usually an alliance critter so... The draenei islands have a load of them....but my time spent in the Alliance lands was very short.

2. Medium leather drops from beast mobs about 22-30. You can also make it, if you're a lw, from light leather x4.

PS- all of these answers can be found on a site like the one I've hyperlinked in the answer above. Have you been to Stonetalon? It matches your barren, dry, sandy description...it's a path through a barren valley...leading up to the Alliance camp at the top, with buckets of stags along the way.|||One place with a lot of stags is Azuremyst, the land area where the Exodar is. A desert-like area that is somewhat hilly and has a lot of animals to skin (no stags, but giraffes and zebras) is the Barren Lands.

Lots of areas are crowded with skinnable animals. I think you could find one for almost any character level, so just have a look around and see what else you can get to easily.

A web search on 'Skinning - world of Warcraft' or 'Medium Leather' will also find some sites that may give you some idea of where to go.|||It would be useful if we had a screenshot of it, but oh well. For leveling skinning at your level, The Barrans (for Horde or Alliance, although be careful if you're Alliance) if arguably the best place to go. The animals there are in such high populations that it won't take you long to blow through the skinning, and they do drop medium leather in the southern part near the border to Thousand Needles.

EDIT: After doing a bit of research, it is possible you were in Stonetalon Mountains. You will find Antlered Coursers there (level 22-23) that drop medium leather. Look in the northern area. It's more woodlands than barran but it might be a good place to start.|||Thanks guys, yes it was stone tallon =)|||I like the Wetlands for farming medium/heavy leather. It's a wide open area with lots of raptors and crocs that are easy to isolate and skin.
