[:1]Lets start with some background information..
I started my WoW trial about a week and a half ago, and redeemed the membership on the 26th. This is my first time playing the game, so I'm pretty new. I'm level 40 now.
When I was Level 10, I guess that I had decided to be a retribution paladin.. and until today, I (newbishly enough) thought that I was a tank. (which is what I wanted to be)
I have already gone down maybe 3 rows on my talent tree. So my questions are:
How do I switch talent trees?
and
Can I get those talent points back? Or will I be forever behind..
I'm just really confused, and panicked when experienced players in dungeons started flaming really. Its not like I knew..
Thanks,
Tallek|||Alright.. I think that its more that I'm confused in general|||Please do not spam multiple postings, as you can edit for atleast an hour.|||You can go to a paladin trainer, and they should have a dialog option to reset your talent points. They will charge you gold to do it, but it's not too expensive the first time. The price goes up each time you respec, but there is a cap (50g the last time I checked.) That will refund all of your points and let you start over in the tree you want to.
As for tanking itself, you might want to take some more specific questions to the Paladin forum to get some help there.|||Any trainer can give you your points back. The first time is 1 Gold I think? Well it was back in Vanilla anyway.
For tanking, go Protection. Mind though that you will level a bit slower as protection. Retribution is the way to go for fast leveling. But just enjoy the game as u want to really :). I started out slow hehe.
Also, I think the talent trees nowadays give a good description of what they are meant for, so you can find some helpful information when you View the Summaries of your talent trees.|||I think the first time is actually free, but yeah, it does cost afterwards. There is also the option to have two talent trees available to you once you hit lvl 30, however it costs 100 gold. So in that way you could have a tanking talent tree for dungeons, and then switch to a dps talent tree for leveling.|||Dual speccing costs 10 gold nowadays, I didn't believe what I saw at first. That, or it costs 100 at 30 and 10 at 40...|||You're correct, it seems to be 10g now. When 4.0.1 hit it became 100g (got it on my lvl 73 warrior), and it seems they've lowered it further, maybe with 4.0.3. Just dual-spec'd my paladin last night (lvl 56) and noticed the change.

Total Exploration
[:1]Hi, this is my first time playing wow and i am loving every minute, i have got an undead mage up to lvl 44. So far i have quested through most of the top half of the the eastern kingdoms and i have a couple of questions.
First is it possible to explore the entire map with any race? i.e. all continents?
And secondly i seem to have reached the end of the undead/sylvanas quests quite a while ago, i am now doing quests for the brotherhood of light and the argent crusade in the eastern plaguelands. It seems a bit out of context for the storyline as i am killing undead's and cleaning up plagues i helped to create. Will i be lead back to the fordaken quests?
Thank you|||1) Yes, that is possible, every continent on the map can be visited by every race.
2) You are Forsaken, the plague is created by the Scourge. The Forsaken tore themselves loose from the Scourge and hate them equally as any other race.|||Ok good stuff, thanks for that

Wheres my Horse?
[:1]Having just had my first day back in the game since 2006 Im a bit lost lol
Im a 52 human warrior and I have lost my horse, it was in one of my bags but when i right clicked on it it left te bag but now I cant find it, pretty sure i didnt sell or delete it.|||Mounts aren't physical objects anymore. Check your spellbook ('P'). There should be a tab labeled "Mounts", your horse should be there. You can drag the icon to your action bar.|||Thank you Snowieken, I have found it

World Explorer Achievement
[:1]I got bored after reaching lvl 70 on my priest and with my professions stuck at 450 and with no Title to speak of, I started doing this achievement.
I've completed everything except the Cata areas (excluding Uldum) and recieved the 'Tabard of the Explorer' but to get the darn title I still have to do the new areas.
Can you get into the Cata zones at any level or must I wait till I'm 82?|||I think you should be able to explore/fly over all of them, except perhaps Deepholme (since that does require particular access through a portal, if I recall correctly). And that one will be the post-80 one for access. The others you should theoretically be able to explore before that time (though Vash'jir may present some difficulties getting to it - I've not tried that flight on a mount).
Why not just level up to 80? The leveling is faster now...|||You can easily fly to Vash'jir from Dun Morogh. Won't even get close to dying from fatigue.
The problem will be, as dusk said, Deepholm. The only way in there is doing an introductory quest at lvl 82. If you really want it, you might be able to get a warlock to summon you there. Not sure if it would work, but worth a try.|||If what you want is the achievement and title, you don't have to explore anything in Cataclysm - only Kalimdor, East Kingdoms, Outland and Northrend. There is an "Explore Cataclysm" achievement but it's not needed for World Explorer.
...Ren|||Quote:

Ren, I'll check again tonight, but I believe it has been updated (googled loads) and you are now required to complete the Cata zones too.
Ty Anyndra, It does appear that you can get summoned into Deepholm, it's how all the lvl 1's do it... and I thought it was tedious at times at lvl 70!! Just need to find someone willing to do it.
Finally I've been waiting till I'm 75 (74 1/2 currently) so I can continue training Herbalism and Alchemy whilst traversing the Cata areas.
EDIT:
Now I have my Illustrious Alchemy and Herbalism I've continued exploring.
Finished Twilight Highlands, Vashj'ir and Mount Hyjal...just need to do Deepholm now :(

YIkes! argent tournament
[:1]I am currently about 15 tokens away from being a champion with all 5 of the cities int he argent tournament.
I am currently exalted with the argent crusade
and I am also exalted with orgrimmar
i was told to unlock the tournament quartermaster i need to be exalted with the 4 other cities within the tournament.
My question is how would i go about becoming exalted at level 85 with these cities?
Do the city tabards work at level 85?
how can i grind to exalted with all these cities at my level? are daileys still available or available at all? HELP!|||The city tabards work at 85 and the tournament dailies also work.|||You can choose "champion's writ" from certain argent dailies in order to purchase city rep commendations.
By far the fastest way would be to just go to the starter zones and do the quests (you get full rep, and since Cata you can likely do them all over again). I have a 29 twink I've been working towards the Ambassador title with, and I got to half way through revered with most cities from about honored pre-cata just from repeating the starter zone quests.
Also, since the Lunar Festival is around, the various elders also reward across the board rep with Alliance/Horde when you get their coin.|||Quote:

That's how i pushed all my main city reputations in wrath. But that was while doing these dailies was the high end thing to do, daily wise. I dont know if it still is faster than doing low level quests etc.|||Since Cata's release I've found that hardly any of the quests give me any sort of Rep.
Whereas on my last three toons I was either Revered or Exalted with all 5 Factions by the mid 40's and Exalted with them all by 60 (without donations).
Post-cata; even after repeating most of the old starter quests and completeing all the new quest lines, I simply ran out of rep quests for Silvercity, TB and DTrolls. I found a lot of the quests just gave rep for the Bilgewater lot instead.
I assumed they were simply pushing people to do more Dungeons and wear one of the fancy tabards to gain rep.|||Quote:

The problem with that is that the alternate choice is the purse, which now has a 100% drop rate on a champion's seal. So, if your reason for doing the tournament is heirloom gear/pets/pretty much anything on the vendor, you probably want those seals.|||Quote:

Back when I did these dailies, the alternative was a purse that just contains lots of gold. I think.|||Quote:

It always had a chance for a seal, but they've upped the percentage.|||Quote:

Upgrade problem - New to WOW
[:1]Hi,
I have installed World of Warcraft & the expansion to Burning Crusade everything was working fine.
Today I received Wrath of the Lich King & thought I could put the disc in and upgrade with ease. However game will not now load at all & says "launcher needs to be able to write to registry". Had a look at the support on blizzard but it seems to suggest deleting & starting again. I have contacted the support but I think it will take several days to get back to me.
Can anyone give me any idea what I should do? Or what I should have done!
Many thanks|||Are you running as administrator? If you are, you can try making another windows user account with admin rights and try installing from there. I have also seen suggestions to try installing the game in safe mode with networking.
If all else fails, do try to uninstall and reinstall from the WotLK DVD from scratch. That will install classic and BC as well. Or you can download the client from your battle.net account management page and install from there.
Keep us posted!|||Many thanks,
If I uninstall will I lose all my game progress? Is there any way I can save it.
I tried to use the Uninstall option from the WotLK disc but it said " "Uninstall.xml" could not be read."
I tried installing from blizzard but it got to 98% & stopped because it could not rename a file.
I will try creating a new admin account from windows & see what happens.
Any other suggestions welcomed.|||You shouldn't need to use the disk at all if you've already got the Warcraft client installed on your PC.
Just go to your Warcraft account administration page and enter the Wrath key code. This will upgrade your account to a Wrath account.
Load up Warcraft and log in. If any more data is needed (which it may not - the client will be the most up to date anyway) it'll download it automatically.
And no, you won't lose any game progress - everything is kept server side.

Is it all quests?
[:1]Hello all,
I used to play UO/EQ many years ago. I started playing the 10 day trial, and bought the game. So I am looking to play for some time, but this maybe the dumbest question ever...
Is the game all quests? I have done a 37823924923 quests, and am going insane! Also, is Iron forge the only big city? I guess I am still trying to learn the game... Thank you very much!|||No, it's not all quests. As early as level 10 you can enter Battlegrounds (group PvP) and from lv15 you can start Dungeons/Instances. But it's true that the fastest way to level to 85 is indeed through questing.
Once you're lv85 (which will take a while) you can become more active in what you like: e.g. raiding (PVE in groups of 10 or 25), Arena (2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 PvP), BGs (PvP in groups of 10, 25 or 40), ... You'll still do daily quests though because it will improve your reputation with in-game factions, and that way you can buy gear, mounts and other things.
There are 8 major cities; 4 Horde and 4 Alliance. From Ironforge (dwarfs) take the tram (in the gnome area) to get to Stormwind (humans), which is the major Alliance capital. From there you can take a boat to Darnassus (Night Elfs) and Exodar (draenei). The Horde's main city is Orgrimmar (Orcs), the others are Silvermoon (Blood Elfs), Undercity (Undead) and Thunderbluff (Tauren).
Give it all some time; it's a huge game and even a few months on you'll be learning new things every time you play. But yes it's a lot of questing, so better get used to that.

Patches
[:1]When I start WoW and the updater starts will it download every single patch since the version of the game I am playing or will it just download the latest patch. If it doesn't download the latest patch could I just download the latest patch from somewhere like FilePlanet and install it?|||It should just download the latest patch, unless you've re-installed from the CDs.|||Quote:

macro
[:1]hey guys
i want to make a macro but i have no idea how :S
i want it like
/cast savage roar , tigersfury,and use trinket
how to do that?
my english is bad, i dont really know how to explain what i want
hmm Make 1 button, i press it savage roar pops up, then i press again and tigers fury pops up, and press again use trinket|||Trinkets aren't on the global cooldown, so you can use a macro to pop them the same time as other stuff. I"m not sure if Savage Roar and Tiger's Fury are on the global, but I'm going to assume they are. For stuff on the global cooldown, you can use a castsequence macro (which will do the next thing in line each time you press the button.)
A simple macro to hopefully do something close to what you want:
/use 13
/castsequence Savage Roar, Tiger's Fury
The first line will use the top trinket spot. If you want to use the second spot instead, replace 13 with 14.
This will try to use the trinket every time you hit the button. It won't screw up the macro if it's on cooldown, but you will get the red error text saying it's not ready. There are ways to supress that, but if it doesn't annoy you, it's not necessary.
The second line will cast Savage Roar the first time you hit it, and then Tiger's Fury the second time. You will probably want to add in a reset paramater, otherwise it will remember where it was in the sequence and start there no matter how long it's been. So, say you hit it once and then don't hit it a second time. 5 minutes later you go to use the macro again. It will cast Tiger's Fury and not start over. To change that, add one or more reset paramaters. (You can add multiple by seperating them with a "/".) Some common paramaters are seconds (just list a number) combat (will reset when you leave combat) target (will reset when you switch targets) and modifier keys (like shift/alt/control and will reset it if you hit you macro key with the specific keybinding down.)
So, for the second line, you might want something like:
/castsequence reset=10/combat Savage Roar, Tiger's Fury
That will reset the macro back to starting with Savage roar if you don't hit the macro key for 10 seconds or if you leave combat.|||thanks so much it worked :D you saved my life thanks again

Loremaster Title
[:1]Has anyone got the Loremaster title?
I’ve completed Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms and am currently working my way through Outland.
Trouble is, I’ve ran out of normal quests in Nagrand and haven’t many solo-able group quests left either (Ring of Blood). I’m currently stuck in the ‘grandmother’ quest chain that requires me to kill the boss at the end of a 5 man dungeon in Auchidoun (I tried and died).
Since I’m a lvl 76 priest the DF tool doesn’t appear to offer an option to queue for lower level dungeons (I’ve never used it before so might be doing things wrong).
Do I have to complete these quest lines to finish the 85 (69/85) quests in Nagrand
Are they possible to do via the DFT or do I have to join a guild and do-a-guild run just to get these achievements completed?
…it might be quicker to get ‘the seeker’ title instead… 3k quests.
N.B I've been using Questguru, Qcompletelist, Everyquest and Everyquestgivers (full of bugs and kills the game eventually)|||Got Loremaster on my achi-ho (also a priest, btw), but don't recall any specific problems in Nagrand. When I was doing this, I remember uploading the char details onto wowhead and that gave a list of open quests - maybe you could try this? I also made use of EveryQuest and found it helped.|||There are several quests in Nagrand coming from loot, and a few that start in Shattrah. I remember that I also had a hard time getting to the required number there. I found a complete list at the time at a site that I can't mention here (cranium).|||Nagrand lost a couple quests in Cataclysm, so it's a lot tighter than it used to be to get the achievement. (Nagrand never had a ton of extra quests to begin with.)
So, you do pretty much have to do all of the quests now.
So, you will need to finish the Greatmother chain. (You may also need the ring of Blood chain, although I can't remember if it counts for Nagrand.) Also be aware that there are several Nagrand quests that open up from a quest chain in Shadowmoon Valley.
Just as a warning, you will likely run into similar issues in BEM. You can't get that achievement without doing at least some of the Og'rilla prequests, and many of those are 5 man group quests.
Netherstorm can be done without the group and dungeon quests as I recall, but Shadowmoon Valley might require some group quests.
My recommendation would be to do what you can in Outland, and then move on and work on the Northrend and Cataclysm loremaster achievements. You can come back and solo the Outland stuff later. (I know I've done them on a couple of priests at 80, although they had some raid gear and specs have changed since then. However, at 85 with blue intro dungeon gear, it will be trivial to solo. You can probably do it a lot earlier, but things have changed enough since I've done it that I can't really advise a specific level.)|||Ty for the replies, I took Cattleya's suggestion and carried on with Northrend quests instead, 4 zones done with several hundred more quests to go.
Just turned 79 and upgraded a lot of my gear for lvl 282+ stuff which which is a huge jump in stats and DPS from the gear I have been questing in.

Gear Questions
[:1]I'm kind of confused about some gear terms. What do these terms mean?
1. What is the difference between pvp and pve gear? Also, for pvp gear, what is feral pvp gear?
2. What is ilvl gear? I heard a video talk about ilvl 25-man gear. I imagine the 25-man is for a 25 man raid, but what is the ilvl mean.
3. What is 333/346 gear?
Please help, and if you do, thanks!|||1. the main difference between pvp and pve is that pvp gear has resilience on it. This is only useful for pvp and reduces damage from players. I also get the impression that health is higher on pvp gear as well.
2. ilvl stands for item level and the higher the item level, the better it is (in terms of stats and bonuses). You may have heard the term used during WotLK, when 10 man ICC raids dropped ilvl 251 and 25 man raids dropped ilvl 264. For Cataclysm, the 25 man raids drop more loot (items), but the ilvl is the same.
3. 333/346 refers to the ilvl - see 2 :-)
hope this help

Question about install Cataclysm from scratch
[:1]First off, Im not a WoW player myself; I played the original for about 6 months but never stuck with it. The reason Im posting here is because I plan to give my nephew - a very avid WoW player - a new laptop for Christmas and I would like to load Cataclysm on it as an included gift, but had a couple questions on what I need to get it on there.
This laptop will replace the current (very, very old) PC that he uses to play on. I also know that he has all current expansions installed.
Ideally, I'd like for him to be able to unwrap the laptop and have all expansions installed so that he can play it immediately without having to do a thing. I may be able to get the expansion install CDs from him, but was hoping there was any other way to install them (obviously without buying another copy of them) and if there was anything else I'd need.
I read the sticky in this forum about whats needed to install and it looks like I need to at least install the "base" WoW before installing Cataclysm, but was hoping for some additional clarification on exactly whats needed...
Thanks a bunch for the help and suggestions!! I really appreciate it!|||You will be able to install the entire game off of the Cataclysm disk (I believe) as you were able to do with the WOTLK disk.
However, you will beed to upgrade the account all the wat to Cataclysm, this means having to buy Classic WoW, TBC and WOTLK. It's the retail keys that are important. If he has already had his accout upgraded to WOTLK...all you need to do is upgrade his accoutn to CATA status.
1. No, you should be able to install everything in one shot with the CATA disk (massive download and patches from Blizzard.
2. Yes. It's not the expansions themselves or the PC that are unique to playing the game, it's the retail keys that govern the account status. If he's upgraded to say WOTLK, he can play up to that on any maching (even mine) provided that the client side software is up to date with the current version live in game.
3. No, that will create more of a headache. Better thing to do is use the CATA disk to install the game on the new laptop. Then let him log in with his account and enter the retail key, then it will patch the laptop to the current version of the game... I.E. 4.0.3 as of this time. You won't need his expansions, everthing will update as long as his accout is for Cataclysm. On the same note, if you just gave him the game in a sealed box and he installed it, same thing happens...it will update.
4. To install the data from the disk, no. To get patches, and update to playable status...yes.|||If you have a fast internet connection, you might wanna consider downloading the client from the wow website.
This is always up to date and it will save u patch downloads.

if my past experience has anything to go by with the wow installer on the wow site then it is the retail copy so you need to patch just as much as you would from installing from the Cat disc.
But if you just wana install it then yes your best bet would be to go to the ww website and download there installer for cat and keep updating till at the latest version.|||uh guys..i need help about this matter too..i don't know anything about installing WoW..

can u give me any other way on how to download and install the game starting from nothing?..and i would like to play the game in a private server..|||private servers are a big no no - so don't expect ANY help with that stuff here.|||Just for reference sake, I'll answer your question about what I meant. If you have only a classic account, the client is still the same as anyone who has one or more expansions. When you buy a copy of the game or of any of its expansions, you actually pay for the account key and not the physical client. The physical client is even freely available for download. It is the same client for everyone, but it is your account key that dictates to what content you have access. So, if you only have a classic account, you will not be able to create any of the expansion races, for instance, but you will still be able to see them in-game.
But yeah, so you'll have to pay to play.
But that being said, waflob is correct that these forums do not condone the discussion of private servers, as that breaks Blizzard's Terms of Service and therefore our forum rules as well. You will not get any help here setting up or joining a private server. I will leave the thread open for now, should you have any more questions about getting to run the actual game on legit servers, but do not ask again how to use a private server.

- If I do get his expansion CDs, do I need to install all of them or are any of them cumulative (again I have no familiarity with expansions).
- Will he be able to install the expansions he has already purchased on the new PC even though he's already installed them on an existing PC?
- If I cant get his expansions, can I just install the trial thats available online, then install Cataclysm and then leave it to him to install the other expansions he has?
- Do I need his (or any) Battle.Net / WoW login to install all of this and get the latest patches?

Brand new, buying game today: VERY CONFUSED
[:1]Hey guys, my name is Ludi and I have had a trial account of WoW, but was extremely confused right off the bat. I am hoping that someone can help me before I purchase the full game (On these forums) about what to do, how to do stuff, maybe help me decide what fraction to play as as well. Also, I'm not entirely sure what class I should make, so any help at all is appreciated. Thank you very much!|||It is at first a little daunting, but the game is actually very easy to learn, also for non-gamers. There are two factions (fraction means "part" and is also a math term :p), Alliance and Horde. You can make a total of 50 characters, up to a maximum of 10 per server, so don't be afraid to try things out to see what suits your needs the most. There is still a "Which class should I be?" sticky at the top of this forum, which is outdated now, but the bulk of it still applies.
Basically, quest mobs have a yellow exclamation mark: talking to them gives you a quest to solve, which usually means killing an X amount of mobs or gathering an X amount of stuff. But a quest can be anything. The solo part of the game is basically doing quests in several different zones, and they are designed in such a way (certainly now, after the last expansion hit the servers) that they take you by the hand through the different zones.
A wonderful resource is the official WoW website, there is a handy beginner's guide explaining everything in detail and in several chapters: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/game/guide. That should be a great place to start!
Don't be afraid to ask more specific questions here if you encounter any troubles or confusion. The main thing to remember is to enjoy the game on your own pace, don't let anyone drag you into stuff you don't know yet, it just makes the whole experience more daunting and confusing. Smell the roses and learn the game on your own tempo!
Good luck, enjoy, and welcome to the game and these forums!|||You can make fifty characters?! That's ridiculous, I thought you could only make one! Well then, I will have fun times for awhile then! Thank you very much snow!|||Heh, no wonder you were confused and it was so daunting to choose. Glad I cleared it up then!|||You can only make 10 per server, but up to 50 total.

Question on expansions/Cataclysm installation
[:1]I am a noobie to WoW, and plan on buying all expansions in order to start off as a Worgen with a friend on Cataclysm.
My question is regarding the way I actually install the expansion packs.
I know that, in order to play Cataclysm, I need WoW, TBC and WotLK, and I know that the important part off of them is the authentication codes.
My question is: do I actually need to have each version installed on my computer for Cataclysm to work?
Or can I just install Cataclysm, and through it upgrade my account using the authentication codes from all other expansions?
Might sound as a stupid question, and probably is, I'm just worried that it'll eat up all the space on my hard disk if I have to install all the expansions just to play Cataclysm.
Thanks in advance!|||Yep you can install it all off the Cata disk. All the information from the previous expansions are all on it. Saves a hell of a lot of time installing/reinstalling.|||I have realized that this is the biggest confusion of every new player, that there is only one game client, even though there are three expansions. You pay for the account key, not the client.|||Thanks Wiglet, you definitely saved me from all the hassle!
Yes, I was really confused about that.. was also confused as to whether I could just start from scratch as a Worgen, or needed to have lvled up characters from the other expansions in order to "unlock" it..
To my relief, my friend explained I can simply start off with a Worgen as the first character, epic win!|||Quote:

Yep, the only class that has an "unlock" requirement is the Death Knight, you need to have a level 55 or higher character on your account to be able to make a Death Knight (it doesn't get rid of the other character or anything, it just is what Blizzard set as a requirement, since the Death Knight starts at level 55).

I have a warlock and a mage. Old Newbie
[:1]Hi all,
I used to play this game for like 5-6 years ago and some even recognize me from WoW or D2 (Can anyone spell GAT or KTA). I am not planning on comming back full time but my son wants to play, so i figured I'll give him an hand and set things up.
Yesterday, I went ahead and made an battlenet account and merged my old WoW account to this one, and behold... my old chars are still there.
Anyway, is there a way that we (Me and my son) can use the same installation of WoW and still have differnet Battlenet accounts?
Like if I go ahead and buy all additional packages for my account, can my son use the same computer and the same installation but use a separate account?
/Nex|||If you buy your son a new account, he can use the same computer and client, no problem. It's the account key you are paying for, the client is actually free, you can even download it for free on the official battle.net website. If I am not mistaken, I think that, as a parent/guardian, you can allow one minor to share your account, but if you want to play together with your son in the future, it might be nice to actually get an entirely new account for him too.|||wow - there's a blast from the past :-)|||Hey Waflob,
Still hanging around i see :)
I see that some of my old friends still frequent the forums here..
Thanks Snow,
I look up sharing the account for now...
But if I in the future want to get him his own account, i will need to buy "all" releases of WoW for him also?
Just checking so i can tell him how much its going to cost him ;)
/Nex|||He will only need to buy his own copy of WoW (yes, all the releases) if you both want to play at the same time on different computers.|||Thanks,
okay, Then we will start of with one copy see how that goes... he probably wont lpay with me anyway as he has friends playing...
/Nex|||Hey Nex. Long time no see.
I'd hold off on buying the game for a tiny bit. There was word of another battle chest, which would drop the cost quite a bit. At the very least go check out if that's in the near future at all.|||Hey Aerath,
Nice to see you around here. How are things? I tried to look in the GAT forum but it seems to be down. I wanted to say hello to all you guys.
I will just buy the extensions for my son and let him play. I will probably just check my old chars and see how things are now. other than that I will not start up again.
Looking on him playing on a trail account now brings back memories, and they are not all good. I realize that I already put in more time into this game then what is healthy for me... ;)
It is a good gane, but I will just hang back and whatch my son play and help him when things gets to complicated.
Cheers,
Nex|||Yup, GAT forums had some issues. There's a not-so-temporary server, but I have my doubts a lot of people moved there.
Det's still active over at the MMO-Champion forums, I lurk there a bit as well. Not playing that actively myself anymore. Found the game's become more than a bit of a drag and didn't find Cataclysm to offer much in the sense of refreshing the feeling other than that of annoyance tbh.
You considering Diablo3?|||Havn't looked into any new games lately as I have taken an active choice to not begin any computer playing. I know what will happen and it will basically ruin my current life, which i happen to like very much.
So i will only follow any gaming for a distance and only get close by when my son need some help.
But it sure looks like a fun game. ;)

Willing To Help Newcommers In-game
[:1]Hello, my name is Nido i have played World of Warcraft for a little over 5 years now and have alot of experience with the game. I have leveled multiple toons and have a 60+ of every class avaliable. (1/27/11) I would be more than happy to help anyone make their account and get them started. No cheats or scams i promise. I just know how frustrating a new game can be and i am going to do my best to make it easier. Let me know if you need anything or have any questions.
-Nido|||Hello Nido, I have been playing for a few months now, I have reached lvl 80 and still have no idea how to play. I think I could do with some help|||i doubt you still want to help but i joined yesterday and i was wondering if i can get onto the main isles on a trial account, not stuck on the tutorial one|||Quote:
i doubt you still want to help
I am quite sure he'll never read this anymore.
On a trial account, the only limit level-wise is that you can level to 20. I am fairly certain you can go anywhere you can go before that level.
Since you are talking about isles, could it be that you started a Goblin? That is not a tutorial isle, it's a starting zone. Every race has its own starting zone, and in the case of a Goblin, you can't leave the area in the beginning as it is dictated by the story line. When you leave the isles, you will be level 12-ish.
The other two races not starting on either Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms, the main isles, are Night Elves and Draenei. They can leave those area's by boat at any time they desire.|||So you can't even jump off the pier a swim/corpse jump to Org?

2 Accounts 1 Game!?
[:1]Hi,
I was wondering if you can play 2 seperate accounts on 1 game key? Will I have to re purchase the retail copy of WoW or can i just subscribe and play on the one I have?
Thanks!|||Each account has its own game key. So no, you can not play on 2 separate accounts with just one key.
In theory, the client of WoW is free. It is the account key (and thus the account) you are paying for. If you want to have a second account, you're going to have to purchase one. You can do so online, though, that might save you from the feeling you are buying something you already have.
