high populated server

hey thers a server called mal`ganis high populated, good for raids etc just what ive been looking for.but my question is, i heard higy populated server have alot of lagg....ive searched forums if theres any lag issue, but no theres no..but if catalysm comes out will i still able to log in?

or too much ppl etc and cant log in ?|||I haven't noticed any real correlation between lag and server population. If you get too many people in one area on any server, you will get lag.

Realize that Mal'ganis isn't a high pop server, it's a full server. That means quite a few more people than a typical high pop server.

The real issue with a full server like Mal'ganis is that you will have queues to log in. At peak times you will have to wait to play the game until enough people log off the server. I've played on high pop (but not full) servers, and while they don't normally have queues, they still get them when new content comes out. Full servers like Mal'ganis see queues at peak times of the day the majority of the time, and when new content comes out, those queues can take an hour or more.

There are a lot of servers that are good for raids. Unless you are looking for a guild that does all day raids to get world firsts, you really don't need to be on Mal'ganis (or a similar server) to be successful in raids. You also have to decide if you want to play on a PvP server or not. If you can't deal with getting ganked and the general fact that world PvP isn't fair, you shouldn't play on a PvP server.

Another thing to watch for is Horde/Alliance balance. Mal'ganis is a great server for PvE progress if you are Horde. If you are Alliance, it's terrible. (Seriously, most servers can field pugs more progressed than Mal'ganis Alliance.)|||I heard that you have should make sure your server is close to were u like. For instance there is a servers on the west coast and east coast, try to pick one close to u.
