[:1]Hello, I have a friend who wishes to try the trial of World of Warcraft but has slow internet downloads at home. I have all the regular/expansion DVD's, can he play the trial installing from the DVD and then patching via downloads from file hosting sites (has fast internet at work which doesn't block these sites)?
If this can be done, would these steps be correct?
Fresh install from Cataclysm dvd (I heard the other dvds weren't needed?)
Download patches from 4.01(?) manually and install
Stock up on Mt. Dew and Cheetos
Level to 20 then buy cd keys
All good?
Thanks guy :)|||Yep, that works. The client is the same for everyone, even on a trial account, and installing from the Cata DVD will save you a lot of time and bandwidth.
