patches

I have been playing the trial and i want to buy the game. But i was wondering, would be a lot easier to get all of the expansion packs as well just to get up to speed with some of the latest patches.|||You'll get all of the latest patches either way, you just need the expansions to play the specific content associated with them and for each expansion, you will need WoW Classic and any expansions before it.

Example:

Classic: Level to 60, game as it was class and race wise. No Horde Paladins, No Alliance Shamans. No Blood Elves or Dreanei. Can't go to Silvermoon or Outland or Northrend or any Cataclysm Zone. professions skill levels 0-300.

TBC: Levels 60-70. Blood Elves and Dreanei, Alliance Shamans, Horde Paladins. Outland zones. New professions and increased levels in professions. Requires Classic already installed. Access to Silvrermoon and Exodar. Profession cap to 375.

Wrath: Northrend continent. Death Knights. New professions. Levels 70-80. Zone dedicated to PvP in Northrend. Profession cap to 450. Requires both Classic and TBC already installed.

CATA. Worgen and Goblins. Changed world. Levels 80-85. Profession cap raised to 525.

Changed world is experienced by all players regardless of what version of the game, so you can be playing Classic but you can't level past 60 or do anything that is specific to other further expansions.

You get all of the patches regardless...|||Quote:

Changed world

You get this no matter which expansions you have installed.|||Quote:
